What we do for hotshot drivers
- Find loads that fit your trailer length, deck height and weight capacity
- Negotiate rates on urgent and partial freight, where hotshot pricing is strongest
- Check each broker before booking and confirm securement and tarp requirements up front
- Plan multi-stop and backhaul loads to cut empty miles
- Handle rate confirmations, BOLs, PODs and factoring paperwork
Know your weight before every load
Hotshot setups live and die by weight. Your truck and trailer ratings decide how much you can legally haul and which loads make sense. We always match the load weight to your combined rating, so you are not running overweight or turning down freight at the dock.
Weight ratings also decide your paperwork. Most hotshot setups hauling interstate for hire need a USDOT number and operating authority, and a CDL depends on the combined weight rating of the truck and trailer. If you are not sure where you stand, ask us during setup.
What we need from you
- Active USDOT number and operating authority
- Certificate of insurance with cargo and liability coverage
- W-9 and your factoring Notice of Assignment or a void check
- Truck and trailer details: trailer type and length, ramps, straps, chains and tarps
