Flatbed dispatch serviceFlatbed freight that's worth the straps

Rich Hauler dispatches flatbed, step deck and Conestoga trailers across the United States. We find steel, lumber, building materials and machinery loads, negotiate tarp and securement pay, and handle the paperwork for 5% of each load.

A flatbed dispatcher books open-deck freight for your flatbed, step deck or Conestoga, negotiates the rate including tarp pay, and handles the paperwork. Rich Hauler charges 5% of each load's gross for semi trucks.

What we do for flatbed carriers

  • Find steel, lumber, pipe, building materials and machinery loads that fit your deck
  • Confirm dimensions, weight, tarp needs and securement before booking
  • Negotiate tarp pay and extra stops so the work you do is paid
  • Flag oversize and overweight loads early, so permits are handled before pickup
  • Handle rate confirmations, BOLs, PODs and factoring paperwork

Flatbed, step deck or Conestoga

Each deck opens different freight. Step decks take taller loads without permits that a flatbed would need. Conestogas carry freight that must stay covered without tarping. We dispatch to what your trailer does best and tell you when a load needs equipment you do not carry.

Securement comes first

Open-deck freight is inspected closely at the roadside. We share every special instruction from the shipper, and we never push you to take a load you cannot secure the right way with the straps, chains and tarps you have.

What we need from you

  • Active USDOT number and operating authority
  • Certificate of insurance with cargo and liability coverage
  • W-9 and your factoring Notice of Assignment or a void check
  • Deck details: trailer type and length, tarps, chains, straps, coil racks and ramps

Questions about flatbed dispatch

How much does flatbed dispatch cost?

Rich Hauler charges 5% of each load's gross for flatbed, step deck and Conestoga dispatch, with no contract.

Do you negotiate tarp pay?

Yes. Tarp requirements and tarp pay are confirmed before we book the load.

Do you book oversize loads?

We can, if your equipment and experience fit. Oversize loads need permits and sometimes escorts, so we confirm every requirement first.

Can you mix flatbed and step deck freight?

If you run a step deck, we look at both step deck and suitable flatbed freight to keep you loaded.
